What the Locals say

I love working here!
There's always a fantastic atmosphere and a
really good crowd – the beer isn't bad either!

Previous Beers Offered by The Woolpack

We have had a number of guest ales over the last few months on our "Free of Tie" which enables us to offer ales outside of those supplied to us by Greene King.

St Austell Trelawney Copper Ale 3.8% abv

Abv 3.8% Mid–Brown Ale

Trelawney is a new beer from St Austell, following a revamp at the brewery, especially for the summer.

Trelawney was named after the Bishop of Trelawney and produced using Galaxy and Golding hops. Trelawney is set to compliment St Austell's range with a lower abv ale to suit long afternoons in summer beer gardens!

Hook Norton Haymaker Golden Ale 5% abv

Abv 5% Amber Ale

Hook Norton Haymaker is a strong pale ale which is available throughout July. Hook Norton say it's like sunshine dancing on your tongue, which I'm not sure I agree with but I do think it's a great beer with plenty of flavour.

What is not in doubt is that Hook Norton have produced another top quality ale that goes down a treat in The Woolpack!

Bateman's All Seasons Red Ale 4.2% abv

Abv 4.2% Red Ale

All Seasons represents a beer from all seasons; the raw materials in Spring are sown, in Summer harvested, in Autumn malted and in Winter hopped.

A Copper Red beer which is slightly sweet with a bitter, dry finish.

Sun Dance

Sun Dance

Abv 4.2% Golden Ale

Each quarter Greene King offer a Brewer's Choice seasonal ale. Sun Dance is available throughout July and August.

Sun Dance is a fine golden ale is brewed using pale malts and Fuggles hops to create a light, refreshing ale with floral and fruity aromas.
