I love working here!
There's always a fantastic atmosphere and a
really good crowd – the beer isn't bad either!

We have had a number of guest ales over the last few months on our "Free of Tie" which enables us to offer ales outside of those supplied to us by Greene King.

Holt's Hum Dinger is an award winning refreshing golden beer with a hint of honey.
Holt's was founded in 1849 by Joseph Holt who had been attracted into the brewing trade, working as a carter for Harrison's Starngeways Brewery. He married Catherine Parry in 1849 who proved to have a great business mind, they mortgaged some property and their brewery was born!

Everards Tiger is a mid–brown beer with a good balance between sweetness and bitterness along with its rounded toffee character.
William Everard first brewed his ale in 1849 and even today Everards is a family run business. His mission statement was "No effort shall be found wanting in the production and supply of genuine ale of first rate quality". Everards originally started brewing in Southgate Street, Leicester, and after moving to Burton in 1892, returned to Leicester in 1979 where the water is now "Burtonised" to give the same taste.

The Rev. James is brewed to a recipe that dates back to 1885. It is named after one of the original owners of The Buckley Brewery, The Rev James Buckley, who was an active minister as well as a brewer!
The Rev. James has both fruit and malt aromas and flavours which is initially bittersweet, spicy and aromatic with a deep and balanced finish. The Rev. James is an incredibly easy drinking beer.
The Rev. James is paying another visit to The Woolpack and is receiving a warm welcome as ever!
