We have had a number of guest ales over the last few months on our "Free of Tie" which enables us to offer ales outside of those supplied to us by Greene King.

Fernandes Copper Top

Abv 4.5% Copper Ale

Copper top is a copper ale with some strength. Not recommended as a session ales but a good beer to finish off an evening with!

Fernandes Brewery was taken over by ssett in 2007. They continue to brew under the Fernandes name and we have featured a number of their beers over previous months.

Mighty Oak Wimblebum Gold

Mighty Oak Wimblebum Gold

Abv 4.2% Golden Ale

Mighty Oak's Wimblebum Gold is their tribute to the greatest tennis tournament in the world! It is a pale and hoppy beer with citrus notes. It has a dryish, hoppy finish

Mighty Oak are a Maldon based brrewer after moving from Brentwood in 2001. They operate from the West Station Yard industrial area which has it's own branch line to Witham.

Wizard Ales Old Combe

Wizard Ales Old Combe

Abv 4.2% Mid Brown Ale

Old Combe is the third Wizard Ale we have offered at The Woolpack. A mid brown beer, bitter but balanced out with crystal and chocolate malts.

Wizard Ales offer 11 beers ranging from Apprentice at 3.6% up to Bah Humbug at 5.8% which they say is "A Christmas Pudding in a glass". We hope to feature more Wizard Ales in the future, look out for them at our beer festivals.

Ossett Citra

Ossett Citra

Abv 4.2% Golden Ale

A new beer from Ossett Brewery, Citra is a beautifully citrussy and refreshing beer as the name suggests. Ossett beers have been pipular with locals in the past and Citra proves to be as popular.

Ossett Brewery started brewing back in 1997 in Ossett. Ossett brewery have also opened a number of pubs in recent years which now stand at 14.
